Green Harvest Food Pantry
Volunteer Help Needed
New Song has partnered with Green Harvest Food Pantry in Plainfield as a way to live out our mission to "Build a Bigger Heaven and Better Lives". As Green Harvest grows, so does their need for help. If you can volunteer even a few hours, they appreciate it. There is a need for both daytime and evening help. Please call 630-416-1109 if you are able to help. It will change your life! Green Harvest is located at 10101 S. Mandel St. in Plainfield, IL.
FMSC
Many volunteers have also helped at FMSC in Aurora by packing food for God's hungry children. In only 2 visits, we have helped feed over 100 children for 1 year. Nice job!
About Acts of Kindness (AOK)
Acts of Kindness provides practical assistance to those in need. From cooking meals for those in a family crisis, to helping out at the local food pantry.
Many New Song families have been blessed by our Meals and a Prayer Ministry. When a family is in need of a meal due to an illness, childbirth, or hospitalization, we organize meals through an online site for the families. We are blessed with many great cooks and helpers that make this ministry possible. Don't worry if you aren't a good cook--sometimes a delivered pizza is delicious as well! When a visitor comes to New Song for the first time, they receive a Welcome Box that includes information about New Song and a baked good made by one of our members. Many visitors have been blessed by this way of welcoming, and it's a great opportunity to get to know someone new.
